1. Beauty & Skincare Salon of the Year sponsored by Younique Aesthetics Academy 

Whether you specialise in beauty practices and/or skincare, this category will recognise a salon that stands out in the Northern Ireland beauty industry.

The judges will be looking for a highly esteemed practice and quality products, combined with excellent customer service.

Please include within your entry:

  • How long your salon has been trading
  • The number of staff you employ and their qualifications
  • Your staff training and development policy
  • Your customer service policy and any feedback you wish to highlight
  • How  your salon stays ahead of industry trends
  • What you think makes your salon stand out from the competition
  • Any other relevant information that you feel would support your entry. For example, do you provide mentoring? Have you had any involvement in your local community or with local charities; Or do you act as an educator, sharing your expertise?

2. Hair Salon of the Year

This category will recognise a hair salon that is excelling in Northern Ireland. Whether you are a small independent or part of a large chain, our judges want to recognise a salon that is a ‘cut above’ in the NI Hair industry.

Judges will be looking for a salon that excels in professional practice and customer service.

Please include within your entry:

  • Your staff training and development policy
  • Your customer service policy and any feedback you wish to highlight
  • How your salon stays ahead of industry trends

3. Salon/Clinic to watch sponsored by The Beauty School

This award will recognise an emerging salon that is making waves in the Aesthetics, Beauty or Hair industry in Northern Ireland. The judges will be looking for a business that is already making an impact in their first two years of business. (This category is open to Hair /Beauty / Aesthetics and specialist Salons / Clinics)

  • Your customer service policy and any feedback you wish to highlight
  • How your salon/clinic stays ahead of industry trends

4. Nail Salon of the Year

The judges will be looking for a Nail Salon that provides quality treatments and professional service, combined with excellent customer service.

5. Aesthetics Clinic of the Year sponsored by Epionce

 

Are you the leading aesthetic clinic in Northern Ireland? Do you offer the best range of treatments from a highly trained team of staff?

The judges will be looking for an aesthetics clinic that is innovative, not only in the services that they provide, but also the quality of care they give their clients. The award will recognise an outstanding clinic that is leading the way in the aesthetics industry. (The clinic must have a medical practitioner whether visiting or fulltime onsite (i.e. doctor, nurse or dentist) providing the injectables.

6. Cosmetic Dental Practice of the Year

Are you the leading Cosmetic Dental Practice in Northern Ireland? Do you offer a superior range of treatments?

The judges will be looking for the dental practice that is the most innovative, in not only the service they provide, but also the quality of care they give their customers. The award will recognise the dental practice that is leading the way in the cosmetic dentistry in Northern Ireland .

7. Specialist Salon / Clinic of the Year sponsored by Sparq

This award will recognise a salon / clinic that specialises in one particular area in the Hair and Beauty Industry in Northern Ireland. You could be a lash / eyebrow expert a  tanning guru, hair extension specialist or an alternative beauty specialist.

Does your spa offer the most luxurious treatments and top-class service in Northern Ireland? The judges are looking for the most innovative spas in Northern Ireland that their offer clients an unforgettable experience.

This category will recognise a Barbers or Male Grooming Salon that is excelling in Northern Ireland. Whether you are a small independent or part of a large chain, our judges want to recognise a salon that stands out in the barber / male grooming market.

Judges will be looking for a Barbers / Male Grooming Salon that excels in quality practice and customer service

This category will recognise a make-up studio that is excelling in Northern Ireland. Whether you are a small independent or part of a large chain, our judges want to recognise a make-up studio that shines in the NI make-up industry.

Judges will be looking for a make-up studio that excels in quality practice and customer service.

12. Product of the Year

This category is open to any Hair, Beauty or Aesthetic product from a company based in Northern Ireland that supports the industry through innovation and enhancing the needs of its customers.

  • The product launch date
  • What makes your product stand out from the competition
  • Any sales figures that demonstrate success (this information will be held in confidence)
  • Any customer feedback received that you feel supports your entry

13. Hair/Beauty Training Academy of the year

Education and training are at the core of all salons and clinics. This category will recognise a training academy / school that stands out in the Aesthetic, Beauty and Hair industry in Northern Ireland. Whether you are a small or large training academy, our judges want to recognise a training school / academy that is focusing on quality and expertise.

Judges will be looking for a training academy that excels in quality practice and customer service.

Please include within your entry:

  • How long your training academy/school has been established?
  • What you think makes your training academy/school stand out from the competition?
  • Number of trainers you employ (if any), and their qualifications
  • Your staff training and development policy
  • Provide any feedback received from students
  • Any other relevant information that you feel would support your entry. For example, do you provide mentoring, have you any involvement in your local community or with local charities

14. Hair and Beauty Retailer / Supplier of the Year

This category is open to any ecommerce or store-based retailer/supplier (whether you are a small independent or part of a large chain) ,in the hair and beauty industry based in Northern Ireland that goes above and beyond for its customers. (Applies to trade only and / or open to the general public)

Please include within your entry:

  • The range of hair and beauty products that you offer and if you specialise in one particular product area?
  • Details of how you excel in customer service and care.
  • Any other relevant information that you feel would support your entry. For example, business success, do you provide employee training and development; have you had any involvement in your local community or with local charities ?

15. Excellence in Digital / Social Media sponsored by I HEART Wines

Does your Salon / Clinic have the best online platform for the hair, beauty or aesthetic sector? This award will recognise the best innovative online campaigns for a business, product or service in Northern Ireland.

Please include within your entry:

  • Relevant social media handles
  • Relevant URL and website details
  • Your social media follower and website performance statistics including website traffic, unique users and page impressions from the last full calendar month.
  • Demonstrate in your entry the effective use of online marketing and social media and the ability to drive sales /customer base through your online business.
  • Any other relevant information that you feel would support your entry. For example, details of any recent digital campaigns and associated metrics

16. Excellence In Marketing sponsored by Kaizen Print

Did you implement a successful marketing campaign for your business? Judges will be looking for evidence of an innovative campaign that has helped to drive sales and create brand awareness.

This award covers all sectors of the NI Beauty industry.

Please include within your entry:

  • your aims and objectives of the campaign
  • What creatives did you use for the campaign
  • What made your campaign successful?
  • How did you measure the success of your campaign? g. was there an increase in sales / footfall through your salon? Please provide metrics

17. Hair / Beauty Influencer of the Year – Non-Entry category (Public Vote*)

This special award will be presented to a Hair or Beauty Influencer that is passionate about making a difference for their followers and creating awareness about the best products and brands on the market.

18. Outstanding Contribution Award – Non-Entry category

 

This special award will be presented to the man or woman whom the judges believe has dedicated their working life to the industry and who has, as a result, made a long-term outstanding contribution.
